Performances will be held at the Murray E Nelson Government Government and Cultural Center in Key Largo, located at 102050 Overseas Highway (mm102 on the Bay Side) Show dates are as follows for April 2018

  • April  8th @ 2:00pm (Sunday – MATINEE)

Show Description

The Key Players will produce the famous Broadway musical comedy of the 25th annual Spelling Bee from Putnam County. Six mid-pubescents compete for the championship while candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives while spelling their way through the show.  

Also, audience be aware and practice your spelling, the Putnam Spelling Bee is open to more than just the Key Players performers. Participants will be pulled from the audience to compete, so practice your spelling and maybe you can win the 25th annual spelling bee.

Originally slated for the February show, the show was flipped with War of the Worlds and now will be the third production for the Key Players in the 2017-2018 season. Rehearsal started in 2017 and were delayed because of Hurricane Irma, but are now back on track for the April show dates. currently rehearsals are held at the Key Largo Lion’s Club.
